Mike- That’s me I’m Mike. I don’t think I play any different or better than Rob. I grew up listening to Agnostic Front There's probably not much of a difference?
BB- Are you in any other bands?
Mike- On the Rise a hardcore band from New York we’ve got something [couldn’t make out tape] I’m working on that when we get back.
BB- How did growing up hardcore/skinhead affect your lives?
Mike- Made me the person I am today. When I was younger I just followed the fads then I got into hardcore, punk rock. It teaches you how to be yourself you know, not to listen to anybody else, don’t care what anybody else says.
BB- How did you hook up with Agnostic Front?
Mike- I’d always been friends with them from the scene, and they needed someone to play and they asked me and I wanted to do it so I said yes.
BB- What do you think attracts people to a hardcore/skinhead lifestyle, the values or the fighting and drinking?
Mike- I think its values people like us they don’t like all that mainstream crap that’s out there. But everybody’s different.
BB- Most of New York City hates Giuliani how do you feel about Hillary and Bill?
Mike- I hate just as much. I think they are sneaks and they’re rats
BB- Whose AF pulling for in the next mayoral elections?
Mike- Vinny Stigma
BB- It’s been a long time since you've had to open for anyone what do you think the upcoming tour with the Business is going to be like?
Mike- Its as amazing as hell when we’re done with our set we get to watch the business play! Normally we play then we pack up and leave this gives us a chance to hang out and you know the Business is Amazing
BB- You just cover a Business song on the Worldwide Tribute comp. What is it going to be like playing with them?
Mike- I’ve always liked the Business I’ve always been a fan of the Business and the rest of the band is friends with them and we have the same crowd. Its great you know? I can’t say enough good things about them.
BB- Was it hard to book shows, did you have to do stuff that normally wouldn't be expected extra security etc?
Mike- No, we have a promoter and she’s amazing she takes care of everything
BB- Speaking of tours My brother saw you in Montrose last year and said something about Agnostic Front, Buffalos and Utah, but it didn't make any sense can you explain?
Mike- I wasn’t on tour with them then, but I heard about it. In Utah, the buffalo ran into the van he actually charged it, I don’t know if the van got fucked up or whatever, but he charged right into the van his territory you know.
BB- What sort of life sacrifices have you made to keep Agnostic Front alive?
Mike-We can’t have jobs we just work hard at what we’re doing. We can’t have steady jobs but we all love hardcore. I had to give up playing full time in On The Rise I’m still in the band, but…
BB- Tell me about the new album, Dead Yuppies.
Mike- New album is awesome its really good. Like “victim in pain” “something’s gotta go” and “Riot Riot Upstart.” That’s the best way to describe it. It has a whole new sound to it a little more hardcore feel to it than like, “Riot Riot Upstart.” Look for it on Epitaph 10/9/01.
BB- When you share the stage with Iron Cross how do you decide who plays Crucified?
Mike- Hey Vinny
Vinny- We both do, but Sab likes doing it with us better and I love it that’s the best part of it.
BB- Any plans to release another WWHCT to the real oi!
Mike- He’s working on it.
BB- have you read anything good lately?
Mike- I don’t have any time to read.
Mike Its Vinny and Jimmy g and they have a shop and some great artists its doing really well check it out.
BB- Anything else?
Jimmy the drummer is in a band called Loved and Hated, check that out and On the Rise other than that just keep it real.
