Information about me:
I was raised on a farm northwest of Tiskilwa--a great place to grow
up. I married Paul A. Fryxell before we graduated from Augustana College,
Rock Island, Illinois. I taught junior high school math and science in
Iowa before we started our family of three: Karl Joseph, Joan Esther, and
Glen Edward. We lived in New Mexico, Kansas, and Arizona before moving
to Texas in 1965. After the children were in school, I went back to
college, intending to get a Master's Degree in Education, which I did.
But I had taken enough earth science to want more, and I ended up as
Professor of Oceanography at Texas A&M University. It is great field!
Paul and I have retired and now live in Austin, TX.
