Illinois 125 is a rather short, but important highway connecting Springfield to Beardstown. It runs east-west mostly, but on a slight angle, making it roughly WNW-ESE.
Intersections from WNW to ESE:
IL78 at Virginia
IL123* between Pleasant Plains and Ashland
IL97 west of Springfield**.
It passes through these towns: Beardstown, Virginia, Ashland, Pleasant Plains.
*- IL123 used to follow IL125 west for a bit and then continue south out of Ashland to I-72/ US36, but it was pulled back to end where it does now.
**- To get to Springfield, keep following IL97 south.
