Federal Route 136 is an east-west highway stretching across the entirety of central Illinois. It enters the state near Keokuk, Iowa, runs east to the Illinois River, then runs nearly due east-west to IL1, which takes it south to Danville. Finally, US136 runs east the remaining 7 miles it requires to leave the State of Illinois into Indiana.
