Federal Route 30 is an east-west route spanning the width of northern Illinois. It enters the state near Clinton, Iowa, and runs to Rock Falls. Then, it runs nearly due east-west, south of I-88 to Kane County. After that, it turns to run around the southern parts of the Chicago area.
