As many of you already know my dad has taken a principles position at Northwestern High School, just West of Kokomo Indiana. So this summer I will be moving there. I will most likely be attending NHS this coming fall. As of today we have not sold our house or bought a house down there. Dad starts there July 1st. I do not know how long I will be around the Goshen area. I might have to leave earlier than expected to report to the football program down there. I just don't know.
I wish I could have told you all the last day of school that I was going to be moving. I could have said my good-byes. But, I just didn't know at that point,the reason being, the day after graduation our family took off for Kokomo to scout out the school and the community.
Since that Saturday my head has been turning so fast it is not even funny. I have been cleaning my room and the rest of the house to get it ready to sell. In addition I had to keep quiet about the whole, dad accepting another job and us moving that Thursday when dad officially resigned.
There were days that week when I was cleaning my room and found old pictures of you all that I would just break down and cry. I guess whoever said, "Men don't cry," was stronger than me or a heartless fool.
Since I moved to the Fairfield Community I have been involved in several different programs and projects. Some of these programs and projects include Football, Wrestling, Track, Marching Band and all the other Bands, Project Charlie, National Art Honors Society, F.A.D.D., The Boy Scouts of America, 4-H, Youth Committee, Jr. LYO and Sr. LYO, Jr. High Honor Roll Club, and many others. I have taken school trips to Indianapolis and Chicago a number of times and Toronto, Canada.
I will truly miss all of these groups and the people who made them possible. I will miss the staff and the village that tried to help raise me thus far. I will miss all the friends I have made here at Fairfield. I will cherish all the memories, good and bad, we have created together. It is truly with great sadness that I leave the Fairfield Community. I do not want to leave but it is something I must do for the good of the family. Northwestern High School and the community there seem nice enough so I this is why I decided that this is probably the best we are going to do so I might as well mak the best of it. That is my thinking at this point. It my sound dumb, but from the information I based that decision on you would know too. I just am not able to share that info at this point. I am sorry.
