Greetings in Jesus' name.
Here are a few comments, in response to some of the questions and comments we have received regarding the prophecy given by Silvana Lupetti on May 24, 1999. (Pastors of Unbelief) Many have said that they have come from a church with a pastor like this, but some have thought perhaps we were saying that all pastors are being spoken of in this prophecy. Comments and questions we have received are addressed in the following explanation.
The word 'prophet' comes from the root word, 'phet' means to speak, and the word 'pro' means for something. So, a pro-phet is someone who speaks for someone. Of course, the Father's prophets are those who speak for Him, by the Holy Spirit, concerning...whatever He wishes. Sometimes people mistakenly think that prophecy is only about the future, and that prophets only speak of the future. It could be about the future, but it doesn't have to be. (Concerning speaking about the future, the Father says that if what the 'prophet' says about the future does not come true, then the prophet, does NOT speak for Him, and therefore is not His prophet.)
This particular prophecy is somewhat like an analogy or a story. It is not about one particular person, but shows attitudes that the Holy Spirit sees in many who are pastors in the church today. He laid it out as a 'story' so that you could follow the course of many who have become pastors in the church. It is a little like Jesus using parables to describe attitudes and events. "There was a man traveling...and the Pharisee went right by him...and the good samaritan helped him..." By this story, Jesus was showing the attitude of the religious Pharisees and the teachers of the law. That is what this prophecy is like.
Once you look at the prophecy from this viewpoint, you can see how true it is, and that there are many who 'called themselves' to be pastors, and who are not coming from a standpoint of recognition of what Jesus did FOR THEM, with His loving sacrifice, pouring out His blood. They therefore do not teach the lambs to know Jesus for themselves, but instead they teach Bible verses and Scripture interpretation.
Does this prophecy mean that there are NO pastors called by Jesus? It does not. Being a pastor is a calling that Jesus cares deeply about. He pleaded with Peter three times, "Do you love Me?" as He told Peter to "feed His lambs". Jesus cares about His lambs, and does not want unbelievers as pastors. He honors, and will greatly reward, His pastors who do nourish the flock.
Some have said, "You cannot give a prophecy about others, because you cannot judge them". As far as judging others, it is true that we not only have no right to judge others, and if we did we would not even know what we were talking about, because how could we see another person's heart? But, the Holy Spirit who does see the heart, sometimes shows His servants what He sees. Peter rebuked Simon the Magician, (in Acts) and then he told him what was in his heart. Peter did this by the Holy Spirit. Paul rebuked Peter publicly because Peter was doing wrong. Speaking the truth in love is not judgment. This is what prophets (or any other who speaks from the Father) do, although they are often misunderstood and accused because of it.
We have a sure way to know if a prophecy is from the Father, and that is to ASK HIM. This prophecy is not aimed at unbelievers, but at christians. If you are amazed at the scope of this or any other prophecy, then you should ask the Father if it is from Him, and what He means by it. There is nothing wrong with wondering, and seeking out the truth. The Father told me tonight that any who will not ask Him if a prophecy is from Him, but reject because of their own interpretation, without asking Him and waiting for Him to speak to them, are in danger of being found to be religious, when the final cut is made between the Wheat and the Tares. This final phase is very close. From the Holy Spirit, I feel determined to not give one iota of ground to these religious, who would leave Jesus out, and have their own religious rules in the place of a living Jesus, who is the vine. If we get disconnected from Him - and He is alive and speaks! - then we are in serious danger, and we are not worthy to be a part of His obedient army, with which He will contend with Satan in the days to come. He will pour out His Spirit only on those who desire His will and His opinion enough to come to Him to learn what it is. When He does give His Spirit in greater measure, all who receive Him will speak powerful words, as boldly as this prophecy was given.
In Jesus' name,
Char Tierney
