Dear Table of the Remnant: Yesterday sitting in a "christian" hospital the Lord began to show me all of the demon and devils in that place. The Lord told me that "religious" institutions; i.e. some churches and other groups who call themselves "christian", are full of demonic strongholds. People can say they are christian all they want to, but unless they are saved and have a relationship with God, they are putting out a red flag to demons calling themselves christian. Demons taking great delight in destroying that which is called "christian" so people need to stop compromising and playing games. You either are for God or against him. There is no middle ground.
V.J.Char: Several years ago (in 1990), Jesus told us not to call ourselves "christian" anymore. He said that the word to Him, means "hypocrite." He showed us that originally there was nothing wrong with being a Pharisee. Being a Pharisee was just a religious person within the Jewish religion. That is innocent enough. But they made the word synonymous with hypocrite by their actions. He said that it is the same now with "christian." Of course there is nothing wrong with being a christian. That is just a name which identifies us with Jesus. (Incredible honor!) But the christians of this day have taken away the true meaning of the word, and left the meaning of hypocrite. Jesus told us to simply say, "We follow Jesus."
And you are right about the demons. Of course, the demons think that they are really something coming against the "servants of God." That is a game they play before the living God, and for which they will answer. When the enemy comes against those who really know Jesus and obey Him, the enemy pays a price. He cannot attack the obedient without suffering himself. The army of the living God are not confused or swayed by the attacks of the enemy, nor are they immature concerning him. The enemy EASILY moves against the blind and foolish, and those who have a shallow, foolish attitude towards demons. Since the "christians" are so blind, the demons can continue their foolishness, and make the name of "christian" a reproach to the world, but judgment awaits them. The "christians" will be shocked to find themselves judged with those whom THEY so judged.
One time I was in a church and the pastor said something about the enemy, meaning Satan. Then the pastor laughed and said something mockingly about the devil being stomped under our feet. He said, "Ha. Ha." I felt the Holy Spirit's response to the shallow, foolish remarks of this pastor. The Holy Spirit was indignant and angry. He was angry that a man, who is only saved by grace, which came at the price of the blood of Jesus, was taking for granted his own salvation. The pastor's attitude was contemptuous and mocking of the enemy, with a lack of understanding of the truth, and he had no gratitude for the grace that had been extended to him. This attitude is rampant in the church. They consider themselves "Satan's personal nightmare". What foolishness! I wanted to cry out to the pastor, "Mortal man! Why do you mock? Satan is fallen because of sin. We have fallen because of sin. The only difference is that we have blood, of the Son of the living God, to cover us. And in the face of that God, and His Son's blood, we dare to mock the enemy?"
Our attitude towards the enemy is to be sober, and measured and led by the Holy Spirit. We have no power to be puffed up about. We have what has been given us. Without Jesus, we have no power, since the only difference between us and our sin, and Satan and his sin, (for which he was cast out of heaven), is the blood of Jesus, which no one deserves. We also shall not enter into heaven, lest the blood of Jesus covers us.
