I do not have any particular house rules yet! I just apply the rules
straight out of the DM's Guide and the Players Handbook. If any house rules
do develop I will detail them here.
I am keen however to ensure that play continues regularly and smoothly.
I would expect each player to make about one or two posts a week. If you
are going to be away and/or unable to post for a period, I would be grateful
if you could let me know because then I can put your character on automatic
(i.e. I will run him/her for you).
Character Creation
I am looking for a party of four or five players with a good mix of
character classes, preferably a fighter, a mage, a cleric and a rogue.
A good mix of races would also be interesting.
If you would like to join the campaign please submit a character background
and description to me. Please do not submit character sheets at this stage.
The campaign gets off to a slightly unusual start with the PCs aboard
an Imperial prison ship being transported from the relatively civilised
continent of Treene to the harsh and uncharted
territory of the continent of Sebba.
Of course, your character needs to have a full background and history,
but I am also interested in how your character came to be sentenced to
be transported. All the PCs come from the continent of Treene.
I have set out a brief description of the continent and its main cultures
but feel free to be creative. All assistance with fleshing out areas of
Treene would be greatly appreciated! The player submitting the best character
background and description will win a bonus of 200 xp for their character.
If your character is selected for the campaign, probably the easiest
way to work up your character is to use the D&D Character Generator
that comes with the Players Handbook. If you don't yet have this program
you can always download
it from Wizards of the Coast. Simply roll up your character in the
normal way (6 rolls of 4d6 discarding the lowest die on each roll). I do
not have any particular house rules (yet!). If you have used the D&D
Character Generator e-mail the
file to me once it is complete alternatively you could use this rather
splendid Character Sheet (in Word) and e-mail
that.
