Backstreet Boys
Backstreet Boys were formed in 1992 in Flordia. It started with Nick
Carter (20), AJ Mclean (22), and Howie Dorough (25) when they were constanly
meeting at acting auditions. They started a trio and starting singing together.
Later, they met Kevin Richardson (28) who was then working at Disney World.
After the 4 hit it off, Kevin phoned his cousin, Brian Littrell (25)who was
still in Lexington Kentucky, to come and join the group. The Backstreet Boys
signed with Jive Records and were a hit from the start. The group was named
after a market in Flordia call the Backstreet Market, a local hang-out for kids.
Brian came up with the idea. from then on the boys have been together making
beautiful, jiving music....that I love.
Backstreet Boys have 3 CD's out in Canada and Over Seas and 1 in America.
Their record label thaught it would be best to release them in Europe first
because of all the other boy bands there. In the summer of 1997, their song
"Quit Playing Games With My Heart" was becoming a hit in America. And by August
their Album was launhed in New York. Now the five of them are known all
around the world. They even won a 1998 World Music Award for Best Dance Artists.
