What Is A Prophetic Ministry?A Christian prophetic ministry is identified by what it does, not by what it says it isJust as a true Christian prophet is known by what he does, not by what he says he is, so a Christian prophetic ministry is known by what it does, not by what it says it is. The prophetic gift is from God and its purpose is to provide a way for man to speak forth the mind and counsel of God for repentance to be taught and righteousness to be preached in order to bring restoration, to heal (Matthew 4:34; 9:35), “... for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” (King James Version) (Revelation 19:10.) In the Amplified Bible that portion of verse reads: “... For the substance (essence) of the truth revealed by Jesus is the spirit of all prophecy—the vital breath, the inspiration of all inspired preaching and interpretation of the divine will and purpose [including both mine and yours].)”A Christian prophetic ministry also provides a way for the priorities, the present-day utility of God’s power, and contemporary purposes to be communicated to man as history progresses (Amos 3:7 “Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.”; Hebrews 1:1,2 “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds”; Revelation 10:7 “But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.” But the Christian prophetic ministry also gives men the ability to speak unto other men a word of exhortation, comfort and revelation (1 Corinthians 14:3;30). The Christian prophetic ministry also promotes individual and corporate edification, learning and comfort (Ephesians 4:29; 1 Thessalonians 5:11,19-21; 1 Corinthians 14:3-4, 31). Exercise of the prophetic gift will prove to be a sign for believers (1 Corinthians 14:22). We are instructed to covet to prophesy, for the edification of the church, and forbid not to speak with tongues, with interpretation, i.e., explanation, in the church (1 Corinthians 14:1,4,5,12,19,31,39). A Christian prophetic ministry recognizes only one scriptural foundationEphesians 2:19-22:19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; 20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; 21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: 22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit. Excerpted from Vine’s Expository Dictionary: “FOUNDATION (TO LAY), FOUNDED 1. themelios, or themelion is properly an adjective denoting “belonging to a foundation” (connected with tithemi, “to place”). It is used” ... “ metaphorically, (a) of “the ministry of the gospel and the doctrines of the faith,” (Rom. 15:20; 1 Cor. 3:10,11,12; Eph. 2:20), where the “of” is not subjective (i. e., consisting of the apostles and prophets), but objective, (i. e., laid by the apostles, etc.); so in (2 Tim. 2:19), where “the foundation of God” is “the foundation laid by God,”—not the Church (which is not a “foundation”), but Christ Himself, upon whom the saints are built; (Heb. 6:1); (b) “of good works, (1 Tim. 6:19).” Paul states that Jesus Christ is the only foundation to be laid: 1 Corinthians 3:11: “For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.” We find the same thought expressed by Paul in Romans 15:20-21: “Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man’s foundation: But as it is written, To whom he was not spoken of, they shall see: and they that have not heard shall understand.” Paul’s thought is consistent: where someone has laid the foundation of Christ, be it apostle or prophet or another servant of God, then that is all sufficient. No other foundation can be or should be laid. The sense of the meaning of Ephesians 2:20 then is: ‘You were once aliens from the commonwealth of Israel (in the time of her Old Testament prophets), but now you are members of the household of faith of the true Israel having been built up upon the foundation, which is Jesus Christ Himself being the chief corner stone, laid by the New Testament apostles and Old Testament prophets.’ A Christian prophetic ministry understands the prophetic gift comes from God’s grace, not the lawIt’s clear from scripture that the gifts of Jesus to His church (Ephesians 4:7-11) are not founded upon the Law, as the Law and the Old Testament prophets came to an end, and when Jesus came He fulfilled the law. “... for ye are not under the law, but under grace” Romans (6:14b). “But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ” (Ephesians 4:7).When Jesus ascended and gave gifts to men the Old Testament prophets and prophecy had ended. Jesus gave new gifts, under grace, instead of under the law, for His ekklesia, which now would include Gentiles also. A Christian prophetic ministry knows its main function is to teach the body of Christ to matureIn the phrase “pastors and teachers” the word “and” in the Greek is the article “kai.” This word is used in a copulative and also an informational sense. So it doesn’t mean just “and.” I believe what Paul said was that Jesus has given gifts to mankind, some to be sent, some to speak the mind and counsel of God, and some to be itinerant preachers and some shepherds. In the phrase “pastors” [shepherds] “and teachers” the word “kai” is used in the informational sense and would be better translated as “namely” or some such intent. In other words, Jesus has given us those four gifts of public service—apostles, prophets, evangelists and shepherds—namely as teachers for the maturing (perfecting) of the saints and etc. In the framework of this understanding, “five-fold” may be a misnomer. However in actual function there still remain five distinct giftings. The actual identification would be more along the lines of apostle-teacher, prophet-teacher, evangelist-teacher, shepherd-teacher, which is four distinct doma ascension gifts, each however, combined with a teaching “gift”—a total of five servanthood “gifts” given by Jesus to His ekklesia for the purpose of maturing the saints. This line of thought also fits the context of the facts that Paul brings out in Ephesians 4.The existing building and its foundation still stands. The revelation knowledge of the original apostles (that is to say, those mentioned throughout the New Testament) still stands. There is no “new” foundation to put in place (unless, of course, you have replaced the chief corner stone, Who is Jesus Christ Himself, in which case what I’m saying is pointless to you). There are no “new” revelations of Jesus and the Gospel which can replace the revelations of the New Testament apostles. The present-day “future” apostles of which Paul spoke of in Ephesians 4 have a detailed job description as given by Paul. It was during Paul’s lifetime that the transition from his “present” apostles and prophets to his “future” apostles and prophets occurred. And those future apostles and prophets are the ones that continued after the New Testament and include what is our present-day apostles and prophets. These present-day apostles and prophets have a different gifting from the Old and New Testament apostles and prophets. (Old Testament “apostles” being those sent out by God, but not then called apostles). Today’s apostles and prophets (and evangelists and shepherds as teachers) are to mature the saints by preparing them for works of public service, or ministry, freely given. And to teach them how to build up the body of Christ. The purpose is to bring about unity of the faith that comes with the knowledge of the Son of God so that the body of Christ will mature into the full measure of Christ Himself. There are no “super-apostles” coming to lay a “new” foundation and to give us further “revelations” that surpass those of the New Testament apostles and prophets regarding Jesus Christ and the Gospel of Christ. Today’s apostles and prophets have a different function and that is to help the body of Christ grow in understanding and experiential knowledge of that which has already been written for us in the word of God, the Bible. The Christian prophetic ministry seeks biblical unity based upon the truth of the word of GodTrue unity of the faith is based upon the knowledge of the Son of God, which, of course, includes the truth of the word of God which teaches us of Christ. Unity in the body of Christ must be based upon the truth of scripture, not ecumenical councils or other devices which simply overlook the truth of the Bible. With this understanding of the scriptures you will be able to recognize the false prophets, false prophecy and false apostles and false teachings that the word says will be among us in these latter days. SummaryIn summary, a Christian prophet, i.e., a Christian prophetic ministry will be known by what it does, not by what it says it is. It will use the prophetic gift to speak forth the mind and counsel of God for repentance to be taught and righteousness to be preached in order to bring restoration and a return back to God and healing of broken bodies, souls and spirits. What is written and said will be a testimony of the truth of Jesus—as revealed from Genesis to Revelation. It will communicate God’s priorities, the present day utility of God’s power and His contemporary purposes as God speaks. The Christian prophetic ministry will speak words of exhortation, comfort and revelation. There will also be individual and corporate edification, learning and comfort. In public usage exercise of the prophetic gift will prove to be a sign for believers. The Christian prophetic ministry will covet to exercise the prophetic gift for the purpose of edifying the ekklelsia of God whether it be in writings or in speaking. A Christian prophetic ministry will seek to mature the saints by preparing them for works of public service, or ministry, freely given, and to teach them how to build up the body of Christ. Its purpose is to bring about unity of the faith that comes with the knowledge of the Son of God so that the body of Christ will mature into the full measure of Christ Himself. The Christian prophetic ministry will continue to help the body of Christ grow in understanding and experiential knowledge of that which has already been written for us in the Bible, the word of God. The Christian prophetic ministry will attempt to bring true unity of the faith to the ekklesia of God, based upon the knowledge of the Son of God, which comes from the truth of the word of God which teaches us of Christ. It will emphasize that unity in the body of Christ must be based upon the truth of scripture, not other devices which overlook or ignore the truth of the Bible. The Christian prophetic ministry, just like the true Christian prophet, understands that their influence over others only comes when and if others voluntarily and willingly follow their example of personal holiness and servanthood to others by their public service, freely given. “Those who persist in error find no help from the light of God’s truth, although it is there for them. Christ Himself and the very Scriptures have become a stumblingblock to the Jews. So it is in Christendom: the Scriptures are read but not understood. The blinding power of ecclesiastical traditions obscures the light of God’s word, and people who have the Bible remain in religious bondage, unable to enjoy the truth which would set them free if they faithfully listened to its voice instead of adhering to the systems of men.” Quoted from “Isaiah Prophecies, Promises, Warnings” by W. E. Vine, page 192 (Lamplighter Books) The institutional church system is an unbiblical abuser of ChristThere are certain religious words, symbols and ideas that are taught to those within such a system that have little, or no value to those who are strangers to that system. There are also unstated rules which are learned by word of mouth and considered as part and parcel of that religious, social and political system. When attempting to communicate or exchange dialogue with those who are strangers to the institutional church system those stated and unstated rules are verbalized in an attempt to convince strangers to the system of the value of the institutional church system. When pressed for an explanation, or an interpretation of those stated and unstated values, the members only know to repeat what they have already said. The reason for that is that they, also, have no idea what the explanation or interpretation of what they just said really is. Memorization of verses of scripture from the King James Version of the Bible are a top favorite. Just spout them out by rote and the Holy Spirit will convict them, right? Wrong. They will simply respond by surprise and an attempt to get away from what you are saying (dissociate) because it doesn’t make any sense to them. In their attempt to dissociate they unwillingly enter into an altered state of consciousness, which leaves them more vulnerable to the ideas being offered. In this eyes wide open altered state of consciousness their brain releases chemicals almost identical to opium, creating an addiction to whatever caused the altered state. While in this state they are 20 to 25 times more open to suggestion than while in a wide-awake, fully aware Beta state. This is a favorite of many cults, a surprise confrontation (this works particularly well if the person appears bizarre which may be either their mode of dress or mannerisms) accompanied by a loud voice, slowly drifting back to a normal tone of voice as suggestions are made to buy or become a part of something. The only way the institutional church system can reach strangers to their way of life [read: the unsaved] is to get them physically inside of their institutional church building and employ psychological and emotional tactics and peer pressure to condition them to alter their decision making consciousness to also become part of their group. An eyes wide open altered state of consciousness—accomplished primarily through a “worship service” employs voice, sound and lighting methods which robs them of their ability to correctly perceive, analyze and interpret the effects of what is happening to them. The same technique is used by the unbiblical practice of issuing an “altar call.” Peer pressure is particularly powerful, and when they see the “faithful” (faithful to what?) all doing the same physical antics it has a stunning hypnotic effect. Then we see elements of the battered bride syndrome, and the Stockholm syndrome. This can occur in as little as two days, so great efforts are made to get the new prospect to attend at least two such “services.” Success is almost guaranteed, unless the person(s) involved are very strong intellectually and emotionally. Stockholm syndrome refers to a group of symptoms among those who suffer physical, sexual and/or psychological abuse or any combination of these. It’s a known defense mechanism to avoid fear, terror, violence and physical and mental pain. It’s a survival strategy and a very common phenomenon. It’s also an expression of gratefulness to the abuser for providing an escape from threats of death or violence from the abuser or another source. There is an emotional bonding with the abuser, and they seek the abuser’s approval. The longer the period of association with the abuser the stronger the emotional bonding will be. Psychologically they must give up their previously held value systems and believe that their very survival will come about only when they totally surrender to the will of their abuser. Note these are the tactics originally employed to get the “member” under the control of unbiblical self-appointed “leaders.” All of this is utilized by members because of their biblical illiteracy and unbiblical lifestyle which includes, but is not limited to teachings that there is authority in custom and tradition, therefore the institutional church system has authority. This is badly flawed logic as the truth is that there is only authority in custom if the majority in society finds the custom to be good, i.e., beneficial, utilitarian, valuable and desirable. Then it may be assigned authority by the majority. Just because you’ve done things wrong for 1,700 years doesn’t make it right. More unbiblical teachings also include teachings that God will curse you, the devil will kill you, steal from you and destroy you, that you are being disobedient to God and you are in rebellion against God if you don’t tithe, have a “covering,” assemble at their building at pre-set times, and obey everything alleged “leaders” think, say and do. Because of the constant abuse and subsequent sense of loss in individuals in this abusive place, grieving is an ongoing traumatic experience, causing further problems, especially if trauma is already present in an individuals life because of post-traumatic stress disorder. These extremely unhealthy mental and emotional problems are simply passed on to the unsuspecting who think they are being taught about “God” by those who label themselves as “experts” about God because that’s the impression they give to the strangers to the system. Is it any wonder that today billions of people on this earth want nothing to do with what they perceive to be “Christianity?” Why aren’t churches a good witness of Christ? Because they make disciples of a biblically illegitimate, paganized, Romanized, pope-modeled, traditional, man-made organization which has violated the very will and purpose of God for His ekklesia. Instead of reflecting the teaching, preaching and healing values of Christ. Simple, huh? If only they could see the living Christ within those who name His name. If only they could see Christ in the 24-hour a day, seven day a week lifestyle of those who, instead, teach and preach and practice criticism, condemnation and judgment at them. If only they were incorporated into a Christ-like lifestyle of true disciples of Jesus Christ and taught and demonstrated the love of God, the abundance of life in Jesus Christ and the liberty of the Holy Spirit—then it would make a world of difference! Wouldn’t it? What Do You Want?False teachers? There is in the institutional church system of today a prevailing spiritual climate of a strong dependency upon figurative or allegorical
Biased revelation? Many competing statements of “God showed me,” “God told me,” “The Holy Spirit revealed to me,” “Jesus spoke to me and said,” and etc. produce sophisticated and seriously conflicting statements that deviate strongly from the attributes of God and the message He has given to us in His word, the Bible. Unless the message of these personal subjective experiences can be validated by scripture taken in a full context of understanding related to those pertinent biblical passages, they are, in essence, no more and no less than the New Age practice of channeling of spirits. At the very least, they are the product of unbridled imagination, i.e., flesh, not spirit.False doctrine? These figurative and/or allegorical reinterpretations of selected Bible passages and competing statements attributed to God, Jesus or the Holy Spirit are used to contrive a complicated and erroneous philosophical theology which accommodates the personal religious beliefs of those who do these things.Manipulation?Because of the contradiction and incompatibility with the biblical text these illegitimate sources result in a huge variety of intellectual and emotionally charged ideas which are pawned off as “spiritual truth” but which are far removed from the truth of the Bible.Myths?Trusting in false teachings, false doctrine, false ministers, false prophets, or false prophecy is a personal and living demonstration that there is no love of the truth of God and God’s word. The end result of this mindset is to invite God to send a strong delusion to those who accept these bogus sources as their version of the truth.More False doctrine?Ultimately, these unbiblical and false teachings, false doctrine, false ministers, false prophets and false prophecy—sources of alleged spiritual truth—lead those who give credence to them away from the real Jesus and to exaltation of self. This leads to the concept that mankind is its own savior and that God is mankind’s servant and is powerless to exercise the fullness of His Godhood until mankind has brought perfection to itself. This misses the mark of Christian stewardship and personal holiness so badly that it’s a shame it even has to be mentioned. This perverted doctrine wrongfully removes mankind from a “created” status to that of “creator,” i.e. that mankind is a “little god” with the accompanying authority and power of the true and living God Himself. Our responsibility to God is redefined as simply to “be God,” instead of to obey God.Apostasy?Without going into a detailed description of the working dynamics of this process, the bottom line is that this is the apostasy spoken of in the Bible, the great falling away from the Christian faith delivered once, for all, to the saints. The Bible is inspired, infallible and inerrant in the original autographs. It’s your personal responsibility to attempt to reconstruct as accurately as you can, what the Bible says in the original languages. You either love the truth of the written word of God and His Son, Jesus Christ, the Living Word, and the Holy Spirit, who teaches you all things which have been stated by God and Jesus Christ, or you automatically default to receiving a strong delusion from God Himself. What do you want for yourself, and your family and other loved ones?Control? If you are seeking to build a kingdom for yourself, i.e., a Christian “church,” fellowship, ministry, or any number of synonymous religious terms, and you desire followers and supporters, especially if you solicit money from them falsely calling it a “tithe” or “offering,” and you want disciples so you can teach them to think the same way that you think, then you are serving your flesh. If you are a member or an attendee or a supporter of that type of Christian institutional church system, then you, also, are serving the flesh of those who claim to be your leaders, and your own flesh. The truth? Most, if not all, of us human beings want validation of our own opinions, experiences and feelings. We want that approval, appreciation, acceptance and recognition for ourselves, even at the expense of the truth. It is for those few of you who desire and love the truth that this web site exists. Those of you who love your own opinions, experiences and feelings to the exclusion of the truth will have a negative reaction to this web site.Part of the biblical truth is that there is widespread lack of understanding of God’s eternal purpose in and through Jesus Christ. With a proper understanding of what the Bible says about God’s eternal purpose it’s easily seen that today’s institutional church system is a very poor imitation of what God’s genuine ekklesia really is. It’s only through biblical meetings of the ekklesia that God’s eternal purpose will be accomplished. By biblical I mean no, absolutely no institutional church influences and leadings. It’s only by recognizing Jesus Christ as our Shepherd and following the influences and leadings of the Holy Spirit of God that we are a true church, i.e., ekklesia. Holiness?Does your lifestyle reflect your teachings on Christian biblical righteousness, personal holiness and preaching of the word of God so people will stop trying to “do” and simply “be” what God has called them to be? Are they discarding their unbiblical and false teachings, false doctrine, false ministers, false prophets and false prophecy—false man-made ideas of God, His kingdom and His righteousness—and repenting of those teachings? Are people being healed and restored to their Creator as they see your lifestyle of personal holiness and hear what you have to say about God? If these things apply to you, then you are serving the true and living God of the Bible.Deliverance?I encourage everyone who wants to know the fullness of God’s love, the abundant life in Jesus and the liberty of the Holy Spirit to read through the many Christian articles and books posted on this web site.
Religious InsanityThose who name the name of Christ must come to recognize and realize that God has chosen to reveal Himself to the humanity He created by inspiring over 40 different authors over a period of 1,400 to 1,500 years, in three different languages to write what we have come to know as the Bible. As such, the Bible is inspired, infallible and inerrant in the original autographs. It is a completed work and contemporary wannabees simply cannot change what God has chosen to reveal of Himself by alleged “new” revelations, prophecies, teachings, visions, dreams and other concocted devices which spring from the earthly, sensual and demonic wisdom of mankind. These artificial devices are simply apostasy fuel. The bedrock foundational truth of God and His Son, Jesus Christ, must be studied from the Bible with every attempt to determine what was said by the original authors and in full context of the Bible itself. (Yes, the Bible has been polluted by older versions and translations by political and religious agendas. Most, but not all, modern translations attempt to restore the original meanings to the biblical text, but again, most, if not all, are sorely afraid to state what they know the Bible really says in some areas because of fear of condemnation of their translations by, primarily the Roman Catholic church. Protestant churches are not exempt from this mindset, as they are, in reality, simply variations on a theme of the Roman Catholic institutional church system. To suffer such condemnation from these false spiritual authorities means no sales for them. So the truth continues to remain hidden. Many of the more modern translations have been attacked by those who hold the traditions of men to be more comfortable than the truth of what God has revealed to us about Himself. In their ignorance they call newer translations “New Age” and worse. However, you, the individual readers, are responsible for digging out the truth of what God has said to you. To simply parrot another, more visible, vocal, vibrant but vacuous personality who suffers from delusions of religious grandeur, is an act of irresponsibility on your part. The solution is simple: read from several translations and let the Holy Spirit of God teach you what is truth and what is not.) Truth, God’s truth as God has revealed to those who would be disciples of Jesus Christ, is the most basic requirement. Failure to love God’s truth brings a strong delusion sent from God Himself to those whose idols prevent them from loving truth. There can be no other basis for unity among the brethren than the truth of God’s word as studied and understood as God originally presented it. Any other basis of alleged unity is a lie and demonstrates a lack of love for the truth and brings a strong delusion from God. I can’t emphasize this enough—God’s truth, as He has revealed Himself to us humans in the Bible in the original autographs—is the one and only basic foundation upon which we can enjoy true unity. All else is apostasy fuel. Once we have studied, analyzed and established God’s truth with a consensus of understanding among the brethren then and only then, can we have true unity in God. From this truth and unity will spring a love for one another, a key ingredient in disciples of Jesus Christ. A love that will result in demonstrating and practicing a Godly love that reproduces in the image and likeness of Jesus, instead of in the image and likeness of each other. From the succession and progression of Godly truth, Godly unity and Godly love the saints of God will engage in consummate fellowship to achieve Gods eternal purpose as stated in the Bible. God’s eternal purpose is to bring all things together in one, in Christ, so that His manifold wisdom is displayed and known through the ekklesia, the called out assemblies of God’s people, to the powers and principalities in the heavenlies. This is according to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord Because “... it is written ...” God will achieve His eternal purpose in Christ Jesus. And God’s purpose will be achieved by His ekklesia making known the manifold wisdom of God. God’s ekklesia is not what we know today as “church.” (That term perpetuated one of those political and religious agendas I mentioned before). The ekklesia of God is you and me, if we are truly disciples, i.e., learners, followers, supporters and imitators of Jesus Christ. Otherwise we are simply nominal Christians, i.e., unsaved unbelievers who call ourselves Christians and are Christians in name only. Which do you want to be known as when you stand before God some day? Look around you, saint. Today’s institutional church system employs divisiveness as its primary operative instrument. Thousands of different denominations, a different church on every street corner, all of which are simply an illegitimate, paganized, Romanized, pope-modeled, traditional, man-made system that has violated the very will and purpose of God for His ekklesia. As such, the institutional church system has no place in God’s economy other than as a spiritual Babylon from which the overcoming remnant bride of Jesus Christ will exit as they realize the truth of God’s eternal purpose. We’ve been trying to make the institutional church system work for over 1,700 years. One definition of insanity is to continue to do the same thing over and over, expecting different results each time. Today’s “church” insanity does not work in real life, does it? You can read “Alice in Wonderland,” or “The Wizard of Oz,” or “Little Red Riding Hood,” or you can watch movies like “Star Trek,” or “Blade Runner,” or “The Fifth Element” or “The Matrix,” and you will find none of God’s truth in them because they are fictional works by men and represent fantasy. You can continue to practice, perfect and perpetuate the customs of men of the past 1,700 years, which all make the word of God of none effect, and you will find none of God’s truth in them because they are fictional works by men and represent fantasy. You can read today’s alleged “apostles” and “prophets” and “teachers,” alleged prophecies, revelations and teachings and you will find none of God’s truth in them because they are fictional works by men representing fantasy. God, in His wisdom, has given us all of the revelation of Himself that He deems necessary and had it memorialized in the Bible for us to read so we can know and understand Him to the best of our limited human intelligence. If you want to know more about God, then read and study the Bible and its intended meaning for us to the best of your ability, digging out the real meaning of what God has told us by the use of Greek and Hebrew Dictionaries, and commentaries at least 200 hundred years old. These older commentaries are uncontaminated by the spirit of this age which utilizes lies and fantasy to deceive those who would know their Creator and God. You can make a decision to run from the Bible truth on this web site. But on that day when you stand before God—Who is Truth Himself—your running will stop. Do you want to decide to stop running now, or to wait until God stops you from running from the Truth of Himself in the Bible that He has chosen to give us humans? Do you want to be part of the solution, or to continue to be part of the problem? The ProphetWhile all three religions look for the coming of a Messiah, or Prophet, only Christianity includes the New Testament as the account of that Prophet having come and gone but to eventually return. With the coming of Jesus Christ, the coming Prophet spoken of in the New Testament, Christians have learned that we are to bless and love our enemies and when Jesus returns, at that time, in His wisdom and judgment, He will see that justice is executed. One of the other of the three religions insists that another Prophet has come, and that to execute justice, their followers and adherents to their religion are the ones that must kill all their enemies, now, today. The other religion insists that that Prophet has not yet come, and when He does, then He will kill all their enemies and justice will prevail for them. But something has happened to the followers of Christianity. It appears that the theological philosophies of the other two religions have seeped into Christianity and it has gone through periods of attempting to take justice into its own hands by killing all their supposed enemies. Any study of religious history will bear that out. However, this was eventually seen as not being Christ-like and was abandoned. At least nominally. Today’s Christianity, however, has now embraced the idea that when Jesus comes again, then He will kill all their enemies, which includes some of their own, and justice will prevail for them. The authority of the scriptures that God so carefully preserved for us is being replaced by a new canon, i.e., standard of measure. Having thrown away the Bible, the authority of the Bible, that is, sinful mankind is now the supposed authority. Alleged prophecies, revelations from God, words of wisdom, words of knowledge, in fact, all the spiritual gifts given to human kind to help us stay on the straight and narrow path of righteousness, are being remanufactured and reinvented, according to human desires, by the millions. These proclamations and teachings and directives, it is claimed, are the “new thing,” that God is doing among His people, by throwing out the old and bringing in the new. I discuss some of this nonsense in “Joel’s Army ... Predator Or Protein ... Let Us Reason Together” which explores the idea of locusts in the book of Joel being compared as a type of a new breed of “divine” Christian believers, with “hidden revelation knowledge.” The conceptual understanding of who and what a prophet is and does continues to shift, change and transform according to the arbitrary, illogical and whimsical impulses of human imagination. These unscriptural and fleshly teachings are vomited out upon an unsuspecting sea of adoring faces in a constant outpouring of unrestrained human speaking, erroneously called teaching, preaching, prophesying, ad nauseam. Great bursts of applause and shouts of “It’s the anointing!” usually accompany the circus atmosphere as the various acts compete for your attention [read: money]. Jeremiah 5:26-31:How many understand what the prophet Jeremiah is saying here? These people, full of deceit, who give themselves false titles to become great, and who continue to grow rich and powerful and fat and sleek are wicked men who perform evil deeds. While the fatherless and the poor continue to suffer and have no champion, these evil persons set traps to catch and ensnare people in their wicked schemes. Read on, read on and read what the prophet says — God will avenge Himself and punish this group. Now read what the prophet Ezekiel says: Ezekiel 14:7-10:Not only will the false prophets be punished by God, but you, the recipient of the false prophecy will also be punished by God Himself. That is what the Bible teaches us. How many of you can receive that teaching? And quit following and supporting the false prophets in the land? Jeremiah 5: 31: The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?Ask yourself if you really love to have it so to the extent of having to come to its logical biblical conclusion, “in the end thereof?” What will you tell Jesus Christ on that day when you stand before Him and you look at His face and into His eyes and He looks at your face and into your eyes? This “new thing” as a “canon” or measure of rule is considerably lacking in substance when compared to the unshifting, unchanging and non-transformable written word of God. “False prophets in the church of Jesus Christ” points out how the false prophets today utter tabloid prophecies, designed to tickle ears but which are never fulfilled. The article “True And False Prophecy” explains the biblical rationale of how the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy, and how false prophecy doesn't have the revelation of Jesus. Of course, part of the attempted illusion is to pick, choose and rearrange scriptures taken out of context. This slight of hand continues to be unnoticed by the biblically ignorant and illiterate as they ooh! and aah! and applaud their self-appointed mentors to whom they willingly and lovingly submit their money, time and abilities. If this is so, you ask, what is the source of all of these teachings and practices that have so radically departed from what the Bible teaches us—and especially what Jesus has taught us? Unfortunately we don’t have to look any further than what has become known as the “institutional church.” Yep, that’s right. All that stuff started coming out quite some time ago, while we all slept peacefully at the wheel, totally unaware of where our religious vehicle is going. At this moment, it’s headed straight for a cliff, which, once we’ve gone over it, there is no going back. It’ll be crash time. The only solution is to jump out now, before the coming religious crash which will spark the onset of the one world government, religious and economic system. Because of this I find myself trying very hard to get those who name the name of Christ to go back to the Bible basics and become biblically literate. At the same time, I feel duty bound to attempt to present the biblical reasons for what I say. I also try to do the same thing with the institutional church system. Once you truly understand the Father’s heart you’ll get out of that illegitimate, paganized, Romanized, pope-modeled, traditional, man-made system. Why? Because it has violated the very will and purpose of God for His ekklesia. As such, it has no place in God’s economy other than as a spiritual Babylon from which the overcoming remnant bride of Jesus Christ will exit as they realize the truth of God’s eternal purpose. If you don’t understand that read the article “God’s Will And Purpose.” If you will study the Bible you will find that every person who recognizes and accepts Jesus Christ as their Saviour is filled with the Holy Spirit of God. And that the Anointed One, the Messiah, the promised Prophet and God the Father abide, i.e., live in you. Once you understand that, and that all the gifts God has given to human kind are distributed by the Holy Spirit as He deems necessary and proper you will stop wondering about “your” gift. “Your” gift, living inside of you, is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. You'll get a better understanding of spiritual gifts of the Holy Spirit, Father and Son given to the body of Christ in the book “Spiritual gifts-God, Jesus Christ, Holy Spirit-to His church” which presents a broad overview of how all the spiritual gifts relate to each other. It's not a “how to” book because the Bible never tells us “how to” but only mentions them. Most teachings on spiritual gifts originate in the fantasy land of human imagination and the only way we can understand them is by the names given by the biblical authors in the original language. It amazes and amuses me to see the craze for titles invented from the Greek—words for functions transliterated by the King James (and previous) translators by the edict of King James for political and religious power purposes of control of the masses. Add to that the really insane promotions and advertisements of how to discover your spiritual gifts, how to get an educational degree in “Apostle,” or “Prophet,” or whatever. You are urged to attend seminars and meetings and gather around these false apostles, prophets and teachers and get a spiritual gift “imparted” to you. This false spiritual propaganda is apparently highly successful, judging by the condition of the fake “institutional church” of today. They’ve got most of you fooled, don’t they? Only the Holy Spirit of God, Who lives in you, can distribute His gifts to you! Don’t you know that? Beloved, you already have every gift that God has, and when and if the needful occasion arises in your life, then you will operate in it—if you will but yield to the promptings of the Holy Spirit! You’ll find a biblically balanced explanation of how God under grace through Jesus Christ gifts His New Testament body of Christ with prophets and apostles as teachers of the truth of the Bible in the article “The Purpose Of The Five-Fold Gifts from God through Jesus.” Paul, the apostle, has already instructed us that there is “... one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.” It’s Jesus who will equip, enable and empower you [read: anoint] not some other human person! Did you know that God’s justice has been satisfied with what Jesus has done for us? You can’t add anything to what Jesus did, and you can’t take away from what Jesus has done. Be His disciple, and learn of Him, follow, support and imitate Jesus, Jesus, Jesus! Frankly, I’m alarmed by the ease with which those who name the name of Christ are being deceived by the many false apostle, prophets and teachers. Especially when they identify themselves as such by their fruits—which you will recognize if you will read the Bible. The book “Prophets And Prophecy” assesses prophetical history and explores the various ways God gifts a prophet to speak His word. The article “Warning!-Beware, a prophetic voice not from God will deceive” is a quick reference of what to look for in true New Testament prophecy. On this web site I talk about those things: I discuss false teachings, false doctrine, false prophecy and false ministers and lack of biblical discernment by the Christian body of Christ, which is responsible for the apostasy—the falling away from the faith once delivered unto the saints—in these latter days of human history. I also try to dispel religious myths on spiritual gifts, the five fold ministry, apostles, prophets, prophecy, visions, dreams, covering, tithing, submission, Joel’s army, spiritual warfare, revival, intercession, rapture, antichrist, last days, Hebrew roots, home church and other subjects by biblical articles and books posted on this web site. I also attempt to indicate my dedication to honoring the holiness of the Trinity of Jesus as God, and His Holy Spirit influence in teaching His overcoming remnant church the prophetic revelation by the Father of the Holy Bible. Why do I bother? Because I feel that it’s tremendously important that true Christians get deliverance from human traditions of selfishness, death and bondage in order to perpetuate the kingdom of God and His Christ with the Father’s love, the abundant life in Jesus Christ, and Holy Spirit liberty by biblical assemblies of God’s ekklesia (not your idea of it), personal holiness and lifestyle evangelism for healing and restoration of the saints back to their God and Creator. This web site has a dual focus on: 1. biblical New Testament prophetic ministry for today, and the 2. unbiblical humanly originated institutional church system of today. My purpose with this online prophetic ministry is to defend biblical Christian doctrine, truth and practice from a prophetic perspective and to refute false teachings and practices by biblical reference. Which Prophet will you follow? |
