A LITTLE ABOUT ME! I was born in Kentucky, December 14, 1946. I am the youngest of three girls. My father was full blooded Cherokee and my mother was three-quarter Cherokee. My grandfather on my fathers side was a Cherokee Chief and three of my distant uncles died on the Trail of Tears. One of my distant uncles went with others from the tribe to Washington to talk with the President about all that was going on between the Cherokee Nation and the government. I am in the process now of researching my family history. It is a slow process so I really don't know alot at this time. I am very anxious to learn all I can about my family. I and my middle sister were given up for adoption as infants, so we do not know to many of our relatives.
I married at age 17, and with this man had 5 children. Only 3 survived and are still living. I have eleven grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren. I love them all equal and feel blessed to have them. He and I divorced after 20 years. I was single for several years before meeting my present husband of seven years. He has six children and one grandson and a granddaughter. We have a very good life together.
I am presently not working, staying home and loving every minute of it. I keep busy with the grandkids, crafts and of course the internet. Chatting is my most favorite thing about the internet. I have met so many nice people and have some really good friends.
My youngest son Cary is now into racing cars.He has a "Thunder" car and races at Mt. Lawn Speedway, in New Castle, Indiana. He has only been racing less than a year total and has won 1 Feature race and 5 Heat races 5 weeks in a row. Cary is 35 years old, married and has 3 children and 2 stepchildren. He has 1 18 year old, 2 16 year olds (girls!), a 14 year old and a 9 year old. He owns his own Masonary business also.
My oldest son lives in Ohio with his wife and 2 sons who are 18 and 2. Yes that's right...16 years between them but what is even more weird is that the 2 year old was born the day before the 18 years olds birhday!!!!! My son Tom is a bricklayer and is 36 years old.
My daughter Lynn is 32. She is a single mother of 2, a boy and a girl. She is a mold tech with a plastics factory, that makes the fan blades for semis, tractors, industrial fans and such. Lynn was just promoted to department supervisor on 8-30-00.
My favorite things to do are chatting,country music, dancing and crafts. I love chatting in the Wild West Wing with my friends. To be able to have friends all over the world and be able to talk to them like they were in the same room with you, is the most thrilling thing in the world to me. My husband is a country music singer and his brother has a country band. His whole family is musically inclinded, so whenever there is a get together, we have lots of good music. I also like the oldies from the 50's, 60's and some of the 70's. Of course with music, comes dancing and I love to dance. I must say I don't do to bad for an old lady! I enjoy making wreaths out of straw and fabric and decorate them with flowers or bows or whatever looks good. Well I guess that's enought about me. Are you getting sleepy reading all this?
