"A Not so Crystal Clear Dystiny"

What if Sailor Moon had been kidnapped and brain washed by the Negaverse instead of Tuxedo Mask? What would Darien have done? Who would take over as the leader of the Sailor Scouts? How would Serena's family and other friends react to her disappearance? These are just a few of the questions that I intend to answer in this story of what if.

Back in the Negaverse, Zoicite and Malachite are in Queen Beryl's throne room awaiting her arrival.

"I thought we were supposed to capture the Tuxedo Mask," Zoicite was saying to Malachite.

"Queen Beryl changed her orders," Malachite explained.

Suddenly, there was a horrific crack of thunder as Queen Beryl entered. Malachite and Zoicite bowed low as Queen Beryl ascended her throne.

"I congratulate you, Malachite, for your successful capture of the Moon Brat. But you still failed to get the Imperium Silver Crystal with her!"

Malachite cringed, "Now I'm in for it," he thought to himself.

"I'll give you a second chance," Queen Beryl said to Malachite. "Now, Zoicite, care to explain your actions concerning Tuxedo Mask?"

"I can explain, your Majesty. It was all an accident," Zoicite said weakly.

Queen Beryl glared at her. "First the fireball down the elevator, and then the ice cystal? Did you think I would not know? This is the last time you diobey me!"

As Queen Beryl raised her hand to strike Zoicite down, Malachite pleaded on her behalf. "Punish me, Majesty. I trained her," but it was too late.

"Malachite!" Zoicite screamed as she fell.

"NO!"

"Let this be a warning to you, Malachite."

"Yes, my Queen." Malachite bowed.

Queen Berly left the throne room, leaving Malchite and the half-dead Zoicite alone. Malachite gently picked her up, took her to their room, and set her down on the bed.

"I'm so sorry, Zoicite," Malachite sobbed. "Queen Beryl should have punished me for not teaching you to be more patient."

"No, Malachite. You told me not to let my vengence get in the way, but I didn't listen. Just promise me one thing, Malachite."

"Anything."

"Don't forget me." Zoicite took her last breath and passed on.

"I would never," Malachite vowed, embracing his Zoicite for the last time. It was then when Zoicite transformed into cherry blossom petals and blew away on the gentle breeze.

"I would never," Malachite vowed once more.
