Dark-Bearded Man
Dark-bearded man
With your bottle of change
You look petty to some
But to others you're strange
Give money to me
Is what you cry
Today you could live
Tomorrow you could die
Dark-bearded man
You never give up
Day in, day out
You're there with your cup
Begging for change
All that I can spare
I keep on walking
Without a care
You don't notice me
Amongst the crowd
With your yelling and cardboard
You always stick out
I know I have change
Yet I keep on moving
And the people behind me
Keep pushing and shoving
Dark-bearded man
I have told you a lie
I've got plenty of change
Yet I walk on by
I didn't have time
For you or your sign
Denied your presence
Acknoledging mine
