Evening's Prayer
I can't see you,
But I now believe.
You're always there
In different ways 3.
The Father above
Who is mighty indeed,
Or sometimes the Son
Who walked the earth before me.
Then there's the Spirit,
But he is no basic ghost.
For I to him
Have become a host.
He, the Counselor
Lives in my heart today,
Teaching me the lessons
Jesus once had to say.
I know now
Why I see not of you,
Because I have been looking
Through the world's view.
You say you give not
As the world gives.
So be not troubled
By the worldly miffs.
You're more real to me
Each and every day.
So it's in you holy name
That this evening I pray.
- Amen
