Ocean

The waves disappear into the sky
Yet they also come near
The pink and gray sunset loves my eye
The ocean; salty as my tear
The sand is soft as snow
No two footprints are the same
The waves continue with crushing flow
Clouds stretch above without tame
The waves crash upon the beach
Its flow will never cease
Its vastness is beyond my reach
The calming wind brings me peace
The sand lies soft and white
Reeds of grass spray from the dunes
Yet through the beauty and many a’sight
The only thought I hold is of you
