Over My Head

Walk with me into the pool,

But swim out past the shallow rope.

Even with time, you’ll never really learn how to cope.

Coping is a non-ideal within the Christian’s faithful life.

For swimming comes at times with strife.

Reckless trust in an unseen God nixes coping

And will only leave you merely hoping.

Hope that God will catch you and hold you

When you wade into the deeper pool.

You never really learn how to swim

Until, you are over your head in Him.
