Question

As soon as my work on earth is done
When at the gates of Heaven I'll arrive
I'll then receive my moment of reckon
Then into a pool of sweat I'll dive

For as far as I know I've lived my life
As the man I wanted to be
Through all the moments of pain and strife
Through all the moments of joy and glee

Yet the question still hovers overhead
Was I the man God wanted me to be
Was I my own man upon self led
For I now long to be with only he

But at this point it is too late
To repent of earthly ways
For I now stand at Heaven's gate
"Now", depends on what God says

Oh angel angel is my name in that book
Oh please be there my heart doth cry
Then at the page the angel will look
And til only then the question will lie...
