Tightrope Questions

Should I follow along the tightrope,

Or might the weight be too much to bare?

To follow you out would please me so.

If only I knew you’d meet me there.

Now I’m left to inch out cautiously,

A short skip to carelessly.

Emotions fall from the wretched rope

Just before climbing the ladder again.

Do I have liberty to stop them,

Or shall I watch the cycle continue to spin?

Some say to drop this life behind.

“Is it worth all the anxious pain?”

This is just the life I know.

So ooh and ahh as I step out again.
