What Now
A little boy sits with his dad
Alongside the pond.
Each one has a pole and line,
Historical tools that create this bond.
The little boy casts over and over
As daddy sits by his side.
The little one wonders why he's made no catch,
Yet daddy reels them in with pride.
Daddy says, "Son, just be patient.
Keep your eye on the bobber and wait.
Believe me. You'll know when the time is right.
Be patient.
Your reward is great.
A college girl sits in her room and prays.
Another school year has gone.
Her Father listens to her prayers and thoughts,
Historical tools that create this bond.
The girl wonders over and over
As The Father listens by her side.
The little one wonders why she's made no choice
While daddy longs to confide.
He says, "Daughter, just be patient.
Keep your eye on the Father and wait.
Believe me. You'll know when the time is right.
Be patient.
Your reward is great.
