A National Seminar on Composites - aerospace Applications and its spin - off has been organised by Aeronautical Society of India, Bangalore Branch and MIT Alumni Association, Bangalore Chapter on Saturday, the 19th September 1998 at HAL Staff College Auditorium, Vimanapura, Bangalore - 560 017. The main objective of the seminar is to promote Composite material and to provide a forum for discussing the important spin-offs from Aerospace technology and R&D organisations in the country. The seminar is designed to give an understanding of the importance of the application of Composites in Aerospace and allied industries. It will bring together Scientists, Engineers, Academicians, Technologists and Industrialists in the field of Composites to exchange and share knowledge regarding the design, manufacture, quality control, research activities and its associated problems. The seminar also provides a forum for exchange of ideas and experiences of various groups actively engaged in Composites. It also envisages close interaction between R&D laboratories and private entrepreneurs in future programmes in the development of Composites and its applications. It aims at indigenous development of Composite products and technologies for domestic as well as export markets.
