Michael Lewis is a 6'1" guard from Jasper, Indiana. Michael went to Jasper High School, where he played basketball. In high school he scored 2138 points. Averaging 31.5 points. He was named an Indiana All-star after his senior season

Lewis was recruited by many universities, but chose to go play for Bob Knight at Indiana University. Lewis stayed and played for Knight all four years. As a freshman at Indiana he averaged 5.6 points, 2.9 assist, and 2.2 rebounds. As a sophomore he averaged the same. In his third year at Indiana he averaged 6.1 points, 4.5 assists, and 1.5 rebounds. As a senior he averaged 10.3 points, 5.3 assists, and 3.9 rebounds. Lewis is the career leader in assists at Indiana University with 545.

After graduating from Indiana University, Lewis went on and played a little in the CBA for the Fort Wayne Furry. He played with them until the league folded.. He also played some with the Florida Sea Dragons, where he averaged 10.7 points, and 2.3 assists.
