Ultimate Cheat

Throughout all of these games, you're going to get some cool stuff. Whether it be a long sword +3 ice brand or a suit of Redflame Armor +2, you're going to want this stuff, and you're going to want a lot of it. Unfortunately, rarely do you get more than one super-nifty thing. That's when you'll want to cheat. Any time you get cool magical item, go to a training hall, or just save, quit, and restore. Remove a character from the party, but not the guy with the item. Now add a new character, whose name and stats are not important. Give this new guy the cool item, then remove him from the party. When it asks if you want to overwrite him, say yes. Next, bring the same guy back into the party and give the item back to you party member. Remove the new guy again, but this time, DO NOT OVERWRITE! Instead, rename him something like Y or ABC - something stupid that you won't get confused with anyone else. Now bring the original new guy back into the party. Check it out - he still has the item you just gave away! Now you have two! Repeat this process as desired.
Special Note: Secret of the Silver Blades makes the duplication process even easier with its vault. Put any item in, and it stays in even f you quit without saving and then restore. Just keep put ing whatever item you want into the vault, quit without saving, go back and restore, and repeat until you have as many cool things as you want.

Yet Another Cheat

The Girdle of Giant Strength is nifty belt that increases your strength to 23 (24 in Curse of the Azure Bonds) when worn. Although that's pretty great in itself, try this trick: When you create a new character, put the Girdle on before you modify him/her. Now go ahead and arange your stats the way you like them, but leave the STR at 23. Keep the modifications, then take a look at your guy/girl. The star from the 23 STR is removed, and if you unready the Girdle, your STR remains 23! Kick butt even with your lowliest mages, and conserve on spell power!
