This is given in thanks to the one who taught me all that I know about making web pages.
For all your help in finding the family I never knew and the roots from which I came.
In giving me this, you have been my teacher, my cousin, and a special friend.
Thanks Again Doug
Let the story begin with Henry(Henricus), son of Jacob Van Keuren and Elisabet Terwilliger, of Hurley, New York.
It's uncertain exactly when or where Henry got married, or even when he left the security of the Dutch community of Ulster and Dutchess Counties. One account says he married Rebecca in 1809, but no record has been found. By the time his first son was born, however, he was living in Onandaga County, New York. From there He moved his Family to Genesee County, then to Pennsylvania, and then to Ohio, before finally settling in Kosciusko County, Indiana, in the fall of 1840.
