Joke

A thief breaks into a house and hears "Jesus is going to get you." He takes a few more steps and hears it again, "Jesus is going to get you." He looks around and sees a parrot. He then asks the bird "Did you say that?" The parrot replies, "Yes I did." The thief then asks the parrot his name and the parrot says, "My name is Clarence." The thief then says, "What idiot named a parrot Clarence?" The bird responds...."The same idiot that named the Rottweiler Jesus!"

Poem

Shaggy Dog

She is just a dog, a shaggy dog but I love her just the same.
When all my friends desert me break my heart and hurt my pride
I'll just reach down and there I'll find a true friend by my side.
For her I am an idol not a fault does she see,
for she's just a dog, a shaggy dog who puts all her faith in me.

Breed Spotlight

Australian Shepherd

Personality- Enthusiastic, energetic, active, intelligent, and affectionate. Their focus is always on what they can do for you.
Idea of fun- They do whatever you want to do. This includes all kinds of outdoor activities and any task resembling work, such as fetching the paper. Herding livestock, flyball, and obedience also qualify.
Ideal Home- Rural or semirural family with lots of children, livestock, or both.
Perfect match- They are extremely adaptable and are happy with any responsible owner who has time to provide lots of attention and exercise.
Be forewarned- While they make great family pets, some lines have been bred to be more aggressive. These dogs can be overprotective and quick to nip. Be sure to buy from a breeder who is temperament-conscious.
