David Archer leaves the CFL
3/4/99
Quarterback David Archer of the Edmonton Eskimos recently requested, and
has been granted a release by the Edmonton Eskimos Football Club. "David
informed us that he wants to pursue opportunities in and out of
football, including a possible return to broadcasting. The entire Eskimo
organization wishes David and his family the best in the future", says

During the 1998 season with the Eskimos, Archer completed 202 passes on
362 attempts for 2,860 yards, 11 touchdowns and 8 interceptions. David
Archer has also had many years of experience in the CFL proclaiming his
greatness as a CFL QB.
