Riders look to improve in 1999

Saskatchewan Roughriders hope to improve on their horrendous 1998 season. The Riders had a 5-13 record last season and did not qualify for the post season. Head coach Jim Daley was fired as head coach of the Saskatchewan Roughriders due to the teams poor performance last season. Cal Murphy will replace Jim Daley as head coach for the 1999 season. The Saskatchewan Roughriders went from western division champions to the last place team in western division within a matter of twelve months. The success of the Riders in the 1999 season depends on key players such as Don Narcisse, Reggie Slack and Mike Saunders.
