History: Camel started out as a go-lucky thief who had left his home in the Forest Ridge. The first city he came to was Tyr, where he met the mul gladiator known as the Slayer. The two quickly got along after Slayer helped Camel in a street fight. Slayer then introduced Camel to his brother, known as the Dicer, and their dwarven companion Gomp. Together the four have traversed the tablelands in search of fame and glory. During a trip to Camel's home-village, Gawnuk, the party stumbled across an ancient pyramid in the forest. Inside the pyramid, Camel found an outfit made for a halfling, composed of a golden circlet with a ruby, a gold-embroided cloak and a gold ring. Donning the gear, Camel found himself being overwhelmed by the ancestral spirit of Xaxaxulay, the high priest of the shrine, and forced onto a path of druidism. When Camel later found the works of Xaxaxulay and read them he learned of a savior, Rajaat, who would smite the sorcerer-kings and bring back the world's fertility. The works also mentioned an agreement between the high priest and the savior. Xaxaxulay was to bring 100 obsidian orbs to a servant of Rajaat, at a well located at an energy nexus. The orbs were still in the pyramid, so Camel eagerly set out to find the well. After a week of exploration he discovered the well and also the servant, a shadow giant, who had been waiting for centuries. With the transaction complete, the high priest (now Camel) was given the power to travel in the Gray, and also given a task from Rajaat: Slay the Dragon of Tyr. Camel had little to do but obey and is to this day searching for the Dark Lens and the three blades crafted for the Cleansing Wars.
