The One I Wed

I love being with you
in the silent dark of night,
as the rain pelts the rooftop,
my sweet, endearing knight.

You are my love, my only,
I give myself to you.
I adore you, every little thing,
each day I love anew.

Before a roaring fire,
shadows, orange, red,
I kiss you softly, husband,
for I love the one I wed.
