DREAM WITH EYES WIDE OPEN
This page is dedicated to my wonderful children, Zachary and Bryce. We sometimes forget how precious life really is or what wonders lie all around us until we see them through a childs eyes. I can never thank them enough for all the times they have pulled me though the perilous and sometimes mundane journey of life. It's amazing what just a smile or "I love you mommy" can do to change your outlook. 'The children are our future' the saying goes...but I must admit it's frightening to think about what kind of future our children are headed for in this world. But we cannot live in fear...instead we must teach them to believe in their goals and give them the freedom to obtain them. Never stifle their creativity and dreams.....and always let them express their individuality. But above all else.....love them and spend time with them.....THIS is the single most precious gift we can ever give our children.
We worry about what a child will be tomorrow, yet we forget that he is someone today.
A little less worry over the child and a bit more concern about the world we make for the child to live in.
If a child lives with hostility, he learns to fight. If a child lives with criticisum, he learns to condemn. If a child lives with ridicule, he learns to be shy. If a child lives in shame, he learns to feel guilty. If a child lives with tolerance, he learns to be patient. If a child lives with encouragement, he learns confidence. If a child lives with praise, he learns to appreciate. If a child lives with fairness, he learns justice. If a child lives with security, he learns to have faith. If a child lives with approval, he learns to like himself. If a child lives with acceptance and friendship, he learns to find love in the world.
