I have never found any fish that I have raised that will refuse to eat it. Here is a recipe I found.
3 pints water 2 cups oatmeal 1/2 lb. Beef liver 1/2 lb. Beef heart 1 t salt 8 oz. Shrimp( I use bait shrimp) 1 small can clams 1/2 c parmesan cheese 1/4 lb. Fish fillet 1 t anise oil 1 env. Knox unflavored gelatine
Optional items may be added or substituted. 1 small can Cat Food, 1/2 cup fish meal, 1/2 cup shrimp meal, dried Krill, spinach, carrots, or anything that is nutritious.
Boil all the ingredients together until tender. Place in a food blender, and blend. Be sure to replace the top on the blender, you will only forget this once. Bring back to boiling temp. and place in jars, and seal. Refrigerate the food and it will keep well for some time. Do not freeze as this breaks down the gelatin and the paste is to watery.
I use a plastic spoon and feed this in small qualities to my fish. Young fry will eat it if the paste is mashed and a small amount floats down to them.
