Am adwyth codwm Eden, - a'i effaith, Ni ddiffydd tra haulwen; Bu'n farwol ein bywiol ben: Duw a wybu y diben. Aeth dŷn yn elyn eilwaith - i'n Meddyg, Mewn meddwl ac araith; Och enaid! fwy na chanwaith, Heb un Duw ar ben y daith. Bu dyn ar derfyn darfod – am dano, Ymdynodd drwy bechod; (Os yw'n ben) bu'n isa'n bod, Yn waelach na'r gwylltfilod. Dorau yr Iachawdwriaeth – agorwyd Yn gywrain a helaeth; Drwy râd Iôr, o'i dyfn-fôr daeth Diogel waredigaeth. Mae gobaith yma, gwybydd, – i'r enaid, Drwy rîn ei Waredydd, Am Wynfa, – ni phalla ffydd, Addefwyd gan ei Ddofydd. Gwybod am sail ein gobaith, – a'n calon F'o'n coledd ei effaith; Nôd o'i wedd i wneud ei waith, A gwiw-fryd am ei gyfraith.

About the blight of the fall of Eden, - and its effect, It will not pass away while the sun shines; Our living head died: God knew the end. Man became an enemy a second time - to our Physician, In thought and speech; O woe, soul! more than a hundred times, Without any God at the end of the journey. Man was about to pass away - because of it, He pulled himself through sin; (If he is at an end) he was a lowliest being, Baser than the wild beasts. The door of Salvation - they were opened Intricately and widely; Through the grace of the Lord, from his deep-sea came Safe deliverance. There is hope here, I know, - for the soul, Throught the merit of our Deliverer, For Blessedness, - it shall not fade, It was promised my his Master. Knowledge about the foundation of our hope, - and may our heart Be nurturing its effect; The aim from his face to do his work, And a worthy intention about his law. tr. 2016 Richard B Gillion |
