Ofer cri, gweddi y gwas - a fyddo
    O feddwl uchelgas:
  Iôr a sylwa'r iselwas,
  A grŷn wrth orseddfa gras.

Useless cry, the prayer of the servant - be it
    Of an ambitious thought:
  The Lord shall notice the lowly servant,
  Who trembles at the throne of grace.
