Yn y dorf mewn ofn dirfawr -
      pwy welir,
    Ow! ai Pilat rwysgfawr?
  Ie'r trwm fradwr tramawr,
  'Fory'n fud yn y farn fawr.

In the throng, in enormous fear -
      who is to be seen,
    Oh! is it ostentatious Pilate?
  Yes, the heavy, foreign traitor,
  Tomorrow mute in the great judgment.
