Ac Arglwydd y lluoedd wna i bobloedd y byd, Wledd o basgedigion, rai breision, ryw bryd: Gwin gloyw puredig, nid 'chydig y chwaith, Llawenydd, tangnefedd, fydd diwedd y daith. Gwledd ar fynydd Sïon, bydd hon i'w boddhau, Sef gwledd na ddiweddir, bur hir i barhau; Gwledd cariad di-gymmysg diderfysg eu Duw, O! awn gyd â'n gilydd i'w fynydd i fyw. Fe ddifa 'n ei fynydd y gorchudd i gyd, A'r llen sydd trwy'r oesoedd ar bobloedd y byd: Ni ad ein heneidiau mewn maglau'n hir mwy, Yn ngharchar tywyllwch, na ch'ledwch na chlwy. Ni welir dim dagrau wylofau 'n y wledd, Ond pawb yn bur siriol a gwrol eu gwedd; Ni ddaw achos cystudd na gwarthrudd na gwg I'w plith, na thywyllwch na d'ryswch na drwg. Daw'r dydd y dywedir, addefir am Dduw, Mai ynddo bu'n gobaith am berffaith gael byw; Y Duw hwn a'n ceidw rhag meirw byth mwy, Na welwn anialwch na ch'ledwch na chlwy.Edward Jones 1761-1836 [Mesur: 11.11.11.11] |
And the Lord of hosts will make for the peoples of the world, A feast of fatlings, fat ones, some time: Clear, purified wine, of not a little taste, Joy, peace, will be the end of the journey. A feast on mount Zion, this will be to satisfy them, That is, a feast not to be ended, purely long to continue; A feast of unalloyed, undisturbed love of their God, Oh, let us go with one another to his mountain to live. He will destroy in his mountain the cover altogether, And the curtain which is through the ages over the peoples of the world: Do not leave our souls in snares any longer, In the prison of darkness, nor hardship nor wound. No tears are to be seen of lamenting in the feast, But all purely cheerful and brave their countenance; There will not come any cause of affliction nor shame nor frown Amongst them, nor darkness nor confusion nor evil. The promised day will come, to be professed about God, That in him was our hope perfectly to get to live; This God will keep us from dying for evermore, Let us not see a desert nor hardship nor wound.tr. 2015 Richard B Gillion |
