Addfwyn Iesu nefol Oen, Ti ddioddefaist ddirfawr boen; A thrwy waedu ar y pren Prynaist i ni'r nefoedd wen. Pan feddyliom am dy loes, A rhinweddau gwaed y groes; Cariad llanw'n enaid ni, Cariad pûr at Iesu cu. Wele ar Galfaria fryn, Fy anwylyd gwridog gwyn; Wele'n ffrydio ei sanctaidd waed, I brynu im' faddeuant rhâd. Boddlonwyd 'nawr gyfiawnder pûr, Trwy ei faith rinweddol gûr, Wele'r coed ac wele'r tân, Wele'r Oen, y Iesu glân. Gentle Jesus heavenly Lamb, Thou didst suffer intense pain; And through bleeding on the tree Didst redeem for us the bright heaven. When we thought about thy anguish, And the merits of the blood of the cross; Love flooding our soul, Pure love towards dear Jesus. See on Calvary hill, My ruddy, white beloved; See streaming his sacred blood, To purchase for me free forgiveness. Pure righteousness was now satisfied, Through its extensive virtuous pain, Behold the tree and behold the fire, Behold the Lamb, the holy Jesus. Lift thy gaze, my sad soul, Now thou seest the way free; Here is the fount to cleanse thee, A Saviour from infernal woe.tr. 2019 Richard B Gillion |
