Aed sain efengyl hedd
  Drwy barthau'r byd o'r bron,
Na fydded ardal dan y nef,
  Heb yr efengyl hon:
Dychweled gaethion fyrdd,
  Addolwyr duwiau gau,
O'u bodd i gredu'n Iesu Grist,
  Ac iddo ufuddhau.

Let the sound of the gospel of peace go
  Through the regions of the world entirely,
Let there be no area under heaven,
  Without this gospel:
Let a myriad of captives return,
  Worshippers of false gods,
Willingly to believe in Jesus Christ,
  And to his submit.
