Agorwn blethedig gerdd seingar

(Eneinniog y nef)
Agorwn blethedig gerdd seingar,
  Yn hawddgar a llafar ein llef,
O foliant, gogoniant gwiw union,
  Yn un â chantorion y nef;
Moliannwn am ras mor ardderchog;
  Caiff euog bechadur iachâd;
Agorwyd trysorau trugaredd;
  Drwy rinwedd
      Etifedd y Tad.

Rhyfeddod nas gellir ei draethu,
  Yw dyfod yr Iesu, Ior hael,
I godi dynoliaeth syrthiedig,
  O'i chyflwr colledig a gwael;
Drwy ing ei lafurus farwolaeth,
  Rhyw fawr fuddugoliaeth a gaed;
Fe redodd fel afon lifeiriol,
  Rinweddau iachusol ei waed.

[Mesur: 9898D]

(The anointing of heaven)
Let us open woven, sonorous music,
  Beautifully with our loud cry,
Of praise, upright, worthy glory,
  As one with the singers of heaven;
Let us praise for grace so excellent;
  A guilty sinner may get salvation;
The treasures of mercy were opened;
  Through the merit of
      the Heir of the Father.

Amazing that not to be expressed,
  Is the coming of Jesus, a generous Lord,
To raise fallen humanity,
  From its lost and poor condition;
Through the anguish of his laborious death,
  Some great victory was got;
Like a flowing river ran
  The healing merits of his blood.
