Am y sant â'i sêl ar dân

(Sant Asaf - Mai 1)
Am y sant â'i sêl ar dân,
Gynt ar lannau Elwy lân,
A fugeiliai'i ddefaid mân -
  Diolch, Argwydd Iôr.

Am ei weledigaeth glir,
Megis llusern yn y tir
Yn y nos dymhestlog hir -
  Diolch, Arglwydd Iôr.

Am ddoethineb, dysg, a dawn,
Ac am rad ei galon lawn,
I hyfforddir wlad yn iawn -
  Diolch, Arglwydd Iôr.

Am ei fuchedd dduwiol ef,
Am ei fryd yn codi'i lef
Dros wirionedd glân yn nef -
  Diolch, Arglwydd Iôr.

Am ei ofal, dad yn Nuw,
Ddug ei braidd i'r dyfroedd byw,
Am ei goffadwriaeth wiw -
  Diolch, Arglwydd Iôr.

(Saint Asaph - 1st May)
For the saint and his zeal on fire,
Formerly on the banks of the holy Elwy,
He would shepherd his little flock -
  Thanks, Sovereign Lord.

For his clear vision,
Like a lantern in the land
In the long, tempestuous night -
  Thanks, Sovereign Lord.

For wisdom, teaching, learning and gift,
And for the grace of his full heart,
For the land to be fully instructed -
  Thanks, Sovereign Lord.

For his godly lifestyle,
For his intention in raising his cry
On behalf of the holy truth of heaven -
  Thanks, Sovereign Lord.

For his care, a father in God,
Who led his flock to the living waters,
For his worthy memory -
  Thanks, Sovereign Lord.
