Ar gadarn Graig yr Oesoedd

(Dinas Duw)
Ar gadarn Graig yr Oesoedd
  Mae sylfaen Seion Duw,
Y ddinas gyfanheddol
  Lle mae ei saint yn byw;
Er amled y gelynion
  Yn gwarchae arni sy,
Yr Arglwydd sy'n ei chanol,
  Am hyn nid ysgog hi.

    Duw ein Iôr a folwn,
      Ni bwyswn arno Ef;
    Cawn yn ei ras amddiffyn llawn,
      A phrofi dawn y nef.

Mor hawddgar yw'r trigolion
  O fewn i ddinas hedd!
Mae nefoedd yn eu calon,
  A gwynfyd yn eu gwedd;
Yr Oen yw golau'r ddinas,
  Ei hedd ei hafon bur,
Ni ddaw i'r fwyn gymdeithas
  Na gofid, poen, na chur.

(The City of God)
On the Rock of Ages
  Is the foundation of the Zion of God,
The inhabited city
  Where his saints live;
Despite how many are the enemies
  That are watching over her,
The Lord is in her midst,
  Therefore she is not shifted.

    God our Lord we shall praise,
      We shall lean on Him;
    In his grace we get a full defence,
      And experience the gift of heaven.

How beautiful are the dwellers
  Within a city of peace!
Heaven is in their hearts,
  And blessedness in their countenance;
The Lamb is the light of the city,
  His peace her pure river,
To the gentle society shall come
  Neither grief, pain nor ache.
