Arglwydd mawr y nef a'r ddaear

Arglwydd mawr y nef a'r ddaear,
  Ffynnon golud pawb o hyd,
Arnat ti dibynna'r cread,
  D'ofal di sy'n dal y byd;
Am gysuron a bendithion,
  Cysgod nos a heulwen dydd,
Derbyn ddiolch, derbyn foliant
  Am ddaioni rhad a rhydd.

Pan ddeffrown ni yn y bore,
  Cychwyn rhedeg gyrfa oes,
Bydd yn gwmni ac arweinydd
  Ar bob llwybr dyrys croes;
Rho dy wenau, dirion Arglwydd,
  Dysg in gerdded yn dy waith,
Ar y llwybr cul sy'n arwain
  Tua diwedd gwyn y daith.

Am brydferthwch nef a daear,
  Haul a sêr a bryn a dôl,
Ac am gariad mwyn rieni
  A chartrefu yn eu côl,
Am fwynderau bywyd ieuanc
  A meddyliau pur a glân,
Arglwydd mawr y nef a'r ddaear,
  Derbyn ddiolch drwy ein cân.

Great Lord of heaven and earth,
  Ever the fount of everyone's wealth,
Upon thee the creation depends,
  It is thy care that holds the world;
For comforts and blessings,
  The shade of night and sunshine of day,
Receive thanks, receive praise
  For goodness gracious and free.

When we awake in the morning,
  To start to run a lifespan's course,
Be thou the company and leader
  On every troublesome, awkward path;
Give thy smiles, tender Lord,
  Teach us to walk in thy work,
On the narrow path that leads
  Towards the blessed end of the journey.

For the beauty of heaven and earth,
  Sun and stars and hill and vale,
And for the love of dear parents
  And making a home in their embrace,
For tendernesses of young life
  And pure and clean thoughts,
Great Lord of heaven and the earth,
  Receive thanks through our song.

For the beauty of each hour,
  Of the day and of the night,
Hill and vale, and tree and flower,
  Sun and moon, and stars of light.
For the joy of human love,
  Brother, sister, parent, child,
Friends on earth and friends above,
  For all gentle thoughts and mild.
    Gracious God to Thee we raise
    This our sacrifice of praise.
