Atolygwn heddiw arnat

Atolygwn heddiw arnat
  Dderbyn, Dad o'th gariad mawr,
Aberth sanctaidd Crist ein harglwydd
  A offrymwn yma'n awr.

Yn yr Aberth a gyflwynwn
  Trwy y pur gyfryngau hyn,
Gwêl barhad yr Aberth hwnnw -
  Aberth mawr Calfaria fryn.

Dengys hwn yr Aberth sanctaidd
  A ddadleuir yn y nef,
Lle mae'r Iesu'n eiriol drosom,
  Blant ei raslon deyrnas ef.

Gyda'r saint a ymadawodd
Yn dy ofn a'th gariad rhad,
Boed i ninnau deimlo'n wastad
  Ddwyfol rin ei werthfawr waed.

Bendigedig yw ein Brenin,
  Rhodder iddo barch a bri;
Duw, y Gair ymgnawdoledig,
  Sydd yn dyfod atom ni.

Gyda llu yr archangylion,
  Ac angylion glân y nef,
Unwn oll i gyd-ddyrchafu
  Haeddiant mawr ei Aberth ef.

Tôn [8787]: Stuttgart (Harmonia Sacra 1615)

We beseech thee today
To accept, Father, of thy great love,
The holy sacrifice of Christ our Lord
  Which we offer here now.

In the Sacrifice that we present
  Through these pure media,
Continually see that Sacrifice -
The great sacrifice of Calvary hill.

It shows the holy Sacrifice
  Which is pleaded in heaven,
Where Jesus is interceding for us,
  Children of his gracious kingdom.

With the saints who have departed
In thy fear and thy free love,
Let us too feel constantly
The divine merit of his precious blood.

Blessed is our King
  To him be given reverence and acclaim;
God, the Word incarnated,
  Who is coming to us.

With the host of the holy archangels
  And angels of heaven,
Let us all join to exalt together
The great virtue of his Sacrifice.
tr. 2013 Richard B Gillion
