Beth yw'r dyrfa ddisglaer hon Sydd yn sefyll ger ein bron? Blaenffrwyth y'nt i Dduw a'r Oen, Wedi gadael byd o boen. Dyma'r rhai fu'n dwyn y groes Gyda'r Iesu yn mhob oes - Rhai fu yn y cystudd mawr, Wedi dod i'r nef yn awr. Dyma'r dyrfa harddaf gaed, Wedi eu golchi yn y gwaed - Pobledd o bob llwyth ac iaith, Wedi dod i ben eu taith. Ni raid iddynt ymladd mwy - Heirdd orchfygwyr ydynt hwy: Rhyfel yn y nef ni bydd Wedi iddynt gario'r dydd. 'R Hwn sydd ar yr orsedd fry, A fugeilia'r nefol lu: Dwg hwy at ffynhonau byw, Sydd yn tarddu i deyrnas Dduw. cyf. John Bryan 1776-1856

What is this shining throng That is standing before us? Firstfruits they are for God and the Lamb, Having left a world of pain. Here are those who were carrying the cross With Jesus in every age - Those who were in the great tribulation, Having come to heaven now. Here is the most beautiful throng there is, Having been washed in the blood - People of every tribe and language, Having come to their journey's end. No need for them to fight any more - Beautiful overcomers are they: There shall be no war in heaven After they have carried the day. He who is on the throne above, Shall shepherd the heavenly host: Shall bring them to living the fountains, Which are springing to God's kingdom. tr. 2020 Richard B Gillion |
Who are these arrayed in white, Brighter than the noonday sun, Foremost of the sons of light, Nearest the eternal throne? These are they that bare the cross, Nobly for their Master stood, Sufferers in his righteous cause, Followers of the dying God. Out of great distress they came, Washed their robes by faith below In the blood of yonder Lamb, Blood that washes white as snow. Therefore are they next the throne, Serve their Master day and night; God resides among his own, God doth in his saints delight. He that on the throne doth reign, Shall his saints for ever feed, With the tree of life sustain, To the living fountains lead.
