Bydd dyner wrth bob beth

Bydd dyner wrth y plentyn bach,
  Fel tôn ar dyner dant;
'Does dim ond cariad Iesu Grist,
  Yn fwy na chariad plant.
Bydd dyner wrth y gwan a'r gwael,
  Ac hefyd wrth y cawr;
'Does dim ond geiriau melus mwyn,
   Yn gwneyd dybenion mawr.

Bydd dyner wrth dy dad a'th fam,
  Rho'th galon arnynt hwy;
Mae'r byd yn ddigon chwerw, heb
  I ti ei chwerwi'n fwy;
Gofala hau, a thi a gei
  Gynhauaf, yn ddifeth;
I gael trugaredd dyner Duw,
  Bydd dyner wrth bob peth.

Be tender towards the little child,
  Like a tune upon a tender string;
There is only the love of Jesus Christ,
  Greater than the love of a child.
Be tender towards the weak and the poor,
  And also towards the giant;
Only sweet, gentle words
  Make great purposes.

Be tender towards thy father and thy mother,
  Set thy heart upon them;
The world is bitter enough, without
  Thy making it more bitter;
Take care to sow, and thou shalt get
  A harvest, without fail;
To get the tender mercy of God,
  Be tender towards everything.
