Cyd ganwn yn llafar o'r ddaear i Dduw

Cyd ganwn yn llafar
    o'r ddaear i Dduw,
Mae'n Prynwr anfeidrol,
    rhyfeddol yn fyw;
  Angylion, a dynion sy'n
      dystion o'i du,
  Nad yw ef yn gorwedd mewn
      bedd fel y bu.

Er myned i orwedd
    i geufedd yn gaeth,
O'i fedd yn wirfoddol
    fuddugol fe ddaeth;
  A'i Dad gwedi danfon
      cenhadon mewn hedd,
  O'r nef i groesawu
      i fynu o'i fedd.
Edward Jones 1761-1836
Cofiant Edward Jones 1839

[Mesur: 11.11.11.11]

Let us sing together
    from the earth to God,
Our immortal Redeemer,
    wonderfully is alive;
  Angels, and men who are
      witnesses from his side,
  He is not lying in
      a grave as he was.

Although going to lie
    captive in a tomb,
From his grave voluntarily
    victorious he came;
  With his Father having sent
      emissaries in peace,
  From heaven to welcome him
      up from his grave.
tr. 2020 Richard B Gillion
