Cydfoliannwn Dduw ein Ceidwad Rhoddwn iddo barch a bri; Taena drosom adain cariad, Ei rad rodd yw'n bwywyd ni; Caed cynhaeaf O law deg haelionus Duw. Gyda'i rad feunyddiol roddion Porthi mae ein bywyd brau; Boed y genau gyda'r galon Yn ei ganmol a'i fawrhau; Dyrchwn foliant Am ein hymborth i Dduw nef. Hawdd gallasai Duw ddystrywio Ffon ein bara, teg ei gwawr; Y wialen a droes heibio, Cafwyd casglu cnwd y llawr: Diolch iddo, Am dymmorawl ffrwyth y maes. Treulio rhoddion Duw bendigaid Er ei glod y bo'm bob un; Cael ei râs i borthi'r enaid Rydd ddyddanwch pur i ddyn: Rydd ddyddanwch, Na ddaw terfyn arno byth.Evan Evans (Ieuan Glan Geirionydd) 1795-1855 Tôn [878747]: Blaencefn (John Thomas 1839-1922) |
Let us praise God our Saviour together Let us render to him respect and renown; He spreads over us the wings of love, His gracious gift is our life; A harvest is had From the fair hand of a generous God. With his free daily gifts He is feeding our fragile life; Let the mouth with the heart be Praising him and magnifying him; Let us raise up praise For our sustenance to the God of heaven. Easily could God destroy The staff of our bread, fair its dawn; The stick he turned aside, The crop of the ground got collected: Thanks to him, For the seasonal fruit of the field. Spend the gifts of blessed God For his acclaim let every one be; Getting his grace to feed the soul Gives pure comfort to man: Gives comfort, To which no end shall ever come.tr. 2020 Richard B Gillion |
