Caned pechaduriaid mawrion

(Clodforedd y Gwaredigion)
1,2,3a,5a,4;  1,3a,(5a,4);  1,(3a),4,5b;
1,3b;  1,4,3a;  1,4,6.
Caned pechaduriaid mawrion -
Fe gaed noddfa i lofruddion:
  Noddfa glyd rhag
      llid dialydd,
  Noddfa rad yng
      ngwlad y cystudd.

Tra rhaid i mi wisgo'r arfau,
Dwyn y groes trwy orthrymderau:
  Rho dy gwmni dyna ddigon,
  Nes myn'd adre' i wisgo'r goron.

Canwn mwy am waredigaeth
Heb ei hail i blant marwolaeth;
  Talodd Iesu ein dyledion
  A gorchfygodd ein gelynion.

[Canwn oll, mae gwaredigaeth
 Wedi'i chael i blant marwolaeth;
   Llawn tosturi yw ein Ceidwad,
   A difesur yn ei gariad.]

Caned nef a daearolion
Salmau pêr i Frenin Seion:
  Llawn tosturi yw yn wastad
  Nid oes diwedd ar Ei gariad.

Am hyn rhyfedd fydd y canu,
Pan ddaw Sïon oll i fyny,
  At y rhai sy'n awr mor hwylus,
  'N chwareu tannau yn Mharadwys.

[Rhyfedd fydd am hyn y canu
 Pan ddêl Sion oll i fyny
   O'r caethiwed at y seintiau
   Fry sy'n chwarae eu telynau.]

Doed myrddiynau maith o'r Indiaid,
Hen Iuddewon a phaganiaid;
  A'r holl ynysoedd a fo'n nesu,
  Yn dorf trwy ras
      tàn faner Iesu.

Caned pechaduriaid mawrion,
  Fe groeshoeliwyd Brenin hedd;
Lloches glyd rhag
    llid gelynion,
  Noddfa'r byd
      tu yma i'r bedd.

Caned nef a daearolion
  Foliant Brenin
      Sïon sy';
Yn cyhoeddi hedd i ddynion
  Gweatha, ar y ddaear ddu.

Gwelir miloedd o baganiaid,
  Gwelir torf o'r Indiaid draw
Wedi eu cànu fel yr eira,
  Yn yr olchfa ddydd a ddaw.

(The Praise of the Delivered)

Let great sinners sing -
A refuge is had for murderers:
  A secure refuge against
      the avenger's anger,
  A free refuge in the
      land of affliction.

While I must wear the armour,
Bear the cross through afflictions:
  Grant thy company that is sufficient,
  Until going home to wear the crown.

Let us sing henceforth about incomparable
Deliverance for the children of death;
  Jesus paid our debts
  And overcame our enemies.

[Let us all sing, deliverance has
 Been got for the children of mortality;
   Full of mercy is our Saviour,
   And immeasurable is his love.]

Let heaven and earthly ones sing
The sound of hosanna to the King of Zion:
  Full of mercy he is constantly
  There is no end to His love.

Therefore wonderful will be the singing,
When all Zion comes up,
  To those who are now so in tune,
  Playing strings in Paradise.

[Wonderful will be therefore the singing
 When all Zion comes up
   From the captivity to the saints
   Above who are playing their harps.]

Let vast myriads of Indians come,
Old Jews and pagans;
  And let all the islands draw near to him,
  As a throng through grace
      under the banner of Jesus.

Let great sinners sing,
  The King of peace was crucified;
A secure refuge against
    the wrath of enemies,
  The world's refuge
      this side of the grave.

Let heaven and earthlings sing
  The praise of him who is
      the King of Zion;
Announcing peace to the worst of
  Men on the black earth.

Thousands of pagans are to be seen,
  A throng of yonder Indians is to be seen
Having been bleached like the snow,
 In the washing on the day to come.
tr. 2011,20 Richard B Gillion
(The Song of the Redeemed)

Sinner, come, with sweetest measures,
Sing these great and boundless treasures;
  Here's a refuge
      from all dangers,
  And a fount of joy
      for sinners.

Come and sing for this salvation;
Praise the King, ye men of Sion;
  His love and pity will endure,
  Give praise to his name forever.

[Come and sing for this salvation;
 Praise the King, ye men of Sion;
   His love and pity will endure,
   Give praise to his name forever.]

Let us praise the King of Sion
For his wonderful salvation:
  All our heavy debt is cancelled,
  And our strongest foes are conquered,

Great shall be the proclamations,
When comes to Him, from all nations
  Tide of song like many waters,
  Joy of Sion's sons and daughters.

[Great shall be the proclamations,
 When comes to Him, from all nations
   Tide of song like many waters,
   Joy of Sion's sons and daughters.]
