Chwi fydoedd dysclaer/dysglaer llawenhewch

Chwi fydoedd dysclaer llawenhewch,
Gwel'd Brenin y Gogoniant cewch; -
  Brenin Gogoninant, - pwy yw ef?
  IOR cadarn yw Mab Duw o'r nef.

Chwi, nefol byrth, yn glau datglowch;
Ffordd rydd i'n Harglwydd Geidwad rho'wch:
  O'r byd ac uffern llwythog yw
  O yspail, yn dyrchafu at Duw.

Escynodd Iesu yn mlaen llaw,
I agor drws y nefoedd draw;
  I ro'i i'w saint drigfannau gwiw,
  Yn agos atto'i hun a'u Duw.

[Esgynodd Iesu yn mlaenllaw
 I agor drws y nefoedd draw,
   Er dwyn ei saint i'r drigfan wiw,
   Yn agos ato'i hun i fyw.]

  Gorchfygu wnaeth, a llwythog yw
  O yspail fawr ei goncwest wiw.

Cododd o'r bedd,
    myn'd mae'n mlaen llaw,
I agor pyrth y nefoedd draw;
  Er cael i'w saint
      drigfanau gwiw,
  Yn agos ato Ef a'u Duw.

Ye shining worlds, rejoice!
To see the King of Glory ye get; -
  The King of Glory, - who is he?
  A firm Lord is the Son of God from heaven.

Ye, heavenly portals, quickly unlock!
The open way to our Lord Saviour give ye!
  From the world and hell laden he is
  With plunder, rising to God.

Jesus ascended before hand,
To open the door of heaven yonder;
  To give to his saints worthy dwellings,
  Near to himself and their God.

   In order to lead his saints to the worthy dwelling,
   Near to himself to live.]

O heavenly portals, quickly unlock!
The wide, open way to our Lord give ye!
  Overcome he did, and laden he is
  With the great plunder his worthy conquest.

He rose from the grave,
    going he is beforehand,
To open the portals of heaven yonder;
  In order to get for his saints
      worthy dwellings,
  Near to Him and their God.
