Clodfored pawb ein Harglwydd ni, Am lenwi ein hydlanoedd, O ddefnydd bara da tan do, I lawer o deuluoedd. Duw sydd yn deilwng i'w fawrhau, Am adeg hau a medi, A rhoi hin da i gasglu'r cnwd Yn frwd yn lle'i ddifrodi. Moliannwn Ef am dywydd da, I'n gael ein bara'n bur-iach; O na fai'n pleser yn mhob Plwy' I'w garu'n fwy rhagorach. O na fai'n henaid mewn llawn hwyl Yn canu ar ŵyl y cynnull, Ac nid yn foddlon mwy i fyw, I ganu i'n Duw yn dywyll. O dysged Duw in' fyw i'w fawl Yn hollawl o hyn allan; Mae ffon ein bara gwedi ei chael, I'n gafael etto'n gyfan. Gan ini gael cynhauaf llawn, Haelionus iawn eleni, O Arglwydd, cadw ni rhag blys Afradus i'n ddifrodi. Rhoi'n hunain yn aberthau byw I Dduw, y mae E'n ddewis, Myn'd ar ei ol trwy ddwyfol ddysg, Heb ddwyn i'n mysg ddim esgus. Duw sydd yn rhoi i'r hauwr hâd, Yn rhad, fo'n anghenrheidiol, Ac yn rhoi bara i'r bwytäwr, I'w wneyd e'n awr yn wrol. O na fa'i'n pleser yn ddi nag, I ddilan ac addoli Y Dduw sy'n deilwng i'w fawrhau, Am adeg hau a medi.Edward Jones 1761-1836 [Mesur: MS 8787] |
Let all extol our Lord, For filling our granaries, With the good ingredients of bread under a roof, For many families. God is worthy to be magnified, For a time of sowing and reaping, And giving good weather to gather the crop Ardently instead of ruining it. Let us praise Him for good weather, For us to get our bread safely; O that pleasure would be in every Parish To love him more excellently. O that our soul would be in full tune Singing on the festival of gathering, And not content any more to live, To sing to our God in darkness. O may God teach us to live to his praise Completely from now on; The staff of our bread after getting it, Is for us to be got again totally. Since we got a very full, Generous harvest this year, O Lord, keep us from a wasteful Appetite to destroy us. To give ourselves as living sacrifices To God, is His choice, To go after him through divine learning, Without bringing amongst us any excuse. It is God who gives seed to the sower, Freely, at need, And gives bread to the eater, To make him now brave. O that we would have no pleasure but To follow and worship The God who is worthy to be magnified, For the occasion of sowing and reaping.tr. 2017 Richard B Gillion |
