    Engyl nef yn un
Yn cyhoeddi'r newydd,
    Eni Ceidwad dyn:
Canant odlau'r nefoedd
    Uwch ei isel grud
Wrth gyflwyno Iesu,
    Brenin nef, i'r byd.

Bore'r greadigaeth
    Mewn brwdfrydedd
Byw canai sêr y bore,
    Canai meibion Duw:
Bore'r ymgnawdoliad
    Canai'r nef ynghyd,
Tra oedd Duw mewn cariad
    Yn cofleidio'r byd.

Hear a charming sound
  The angels of heaven as one
Publishing the news,
  The names of the Saviour of man:
They sing odes of heaven
  Higher than his lowly cradle
While presenting Jesus,
  The King of heaven, to the world.

On the morning of the creation
  In fervour
Of living would sing the stars of the morning,
  Would sing the sons of God:
On the morning of the incarnation
  Would sing heaven together,
While God in love was
  Embracing the world.
